THE ARTIST

Ink & Origin

Skin carries our stories just as much as our ink does. We decide how much we show and how much we keep to ourselves. Carried by waves of joy and buffeted by winds of hardship, our day-to-day lives are written on our largest organ—the skin. It works tirelessly to protect our bodies from outside forces. We should praise our temple and normalise the valleys and ridges that map the vessels of our souls. 🌊

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Getting started is simple. Schedule a free consultation, and we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

  • It’s best to book a free consultation first so we can check your preferred artist’s availability and discuss style, size, and appointment options together. This helps avoid wait times, allows us to make concrete preparations, and ensures your tattoo turns out exactly the way you envision it.

Appointment wait times can range from one to three months, depending on our level of booking.

  • In order to confirm and reserve a tattoo appointment, a deposit is usually required. This typically ranges from a quarter to half of the estimated tattoo price and is paid in advance.

Deposits go toward the final price of your tattoo.

  • Eat a full meal beforehand. Stay hydrated the day before.

Wear or bring clothing that gives easy access to the placement area—choose items you’re not afraid to stain.

Avoid alcohol for 24 hours prior.

Don't apply any lotions or numbing cream to the area without checking with us first.

  • We work with both black and grey realism as well as full colour tattoos. Our style adapts to bring out the best in each piece, whether through contrast and shadow or vibrant hues. If you're unsure which approach suits your vision, send us your reference, and we'll let you know what we recommend.

  • Yes, we work with cover-ups, including scar cover-ups, stretch mark cover-ups, and existing tattoo cover-ups. Each project is unique and requires a custom approach to ensure the new design works harmoniously with your skin and fully conceals what's beneath. Send us photos of the area along with your ideas, and we'll let you know what's possible.

  • We don't copy other artists' custom tattoo work. If you send reference images, we use them as a jumping-off point for an original composition. Bring us your inspiration, and we'll build something new from it.

  • You're never too old to get a tattoo. Aging, wrinkles, stretch marks, scars — these are all natural things your skin does, and none of them should stop you from claiming your body as your own canvas.

Our Studio is a safe space for all body types, all ages, all genders, and all identities. Tattoo art is built on trust and respect, and everyone deserves to feel welcomed, seen, and comfortable when they walk through the door.

The only age limit is the minimum: you must be 18+ with a valid photo ID.
